Flashback Friday – 7/31

Happy Friday All! I had fun searching for songs to post this Friday. I hadn’t heard either one of these in a looooong time and found myself cracking up at the songs and videos. This week’s FF blog has songs from Biz Markie, Keith Sweat, Salt-N-Pepa, Wreckx-N-Effect and TLC. The song that had me laughing the most was Rump Shaker. “All I wanna do is zooma zoom zoom zoom and a boom boom! “ Helluva pick up line Teddy. Lmao. Thankfully, this song wasn’t about the lyrical content. It was mostly for the fellas. Everyone could enjoy it because it was a perfect party song. The hook was extremely catchy and it was all in fun but let’s just put it plainly, it was strictly about the a$$. Lol. Listening to “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” by TLC reminded me of the first cassette tapes that I actually owed: debut albums from A.B.C., Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey and TLC. Mind you, I was ten years old when “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” was released as a single. Going back and listening to the lyrics makes me wonder if I had any idea of what T-Boz, Left Eye or Chili were talking about back then….. “Two inches or if you’re rock hard or if it’s saggin”. SMH. Childhood innocence was bliss, lol. Oh and this just in—Keith Sweat still can’t sing. Make It Last Forever was the song though, lol. Enjoy, vote, suggest and comment. Have a blessed weekend!
